It’s going to be a tough battle to compete with the annual growth of ABI™ Document Support Services.
In the past six months, ABI, a division of EDCO® Group Inc., has topped the list of national panels for records retrieval vendors for numerous prominent insurance companies. In October, USAA signed a national exclusive agreement with ABI, a directive to in-house counsel firms and claims departments to use ABI for all record retrieval needs. This was followed in April by Zurich Insurance Group. On May 9, Safeco Auto Insurance also signed an exclusive for the state of California.
“Our growth is a combination of a great product and great people to service our clients’ needs,” said David Benge, Vice President of ABI Document Support Services.
“Joining with EDCO and the introduction of eSummary by ABI™ has allowed us to offer a solution for our clients to analyze and summarize the documents we’ve retrieved chronologically and by document classification. It saves our clients hours upon hours of tedious work by identifying critical evidence early in the process.”
The growth of business has translated to an expansion of space at three ABI offices. The main office in Redlands, CA recently underwent a complete makeover with the goal of better utilizing talent and space.
The ABI office in Tomball, TX, a suburb of Houston, opened in 2007 with two employees working in 745 square feet of office space. In November, 2010, a key sales representative demonstrated ABI’s easy online ordering process at an adjustors meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Orders began pouring in as he was doing the demonstration. Soon, the staff required two suites in their office building; separating order entry, client relations, and clerical from records retrieval, billing, and production. The Tomball office is now on the move again to a 4100 square-foot space that can easily accommodate 35 employees in one area to leverage the strengths of the entire staff.
“It will be great to be united again and have space for the growth ahead!” said Tomball Office Manager, Judy Frank.
The Garden City office, in Long Island New York, is chomping at the bit to move to their 4000 square-foot facility, a space 400 times larger than their existing space. The multi-windowed office will handle retrieval, order entry, and document service.
“We started out with clients from New York. Then we added New Jersey. Today, we signed a client in Pittsburgh, PA. I’m glad we have the additional space. We are going to need it,” said ABI Garden City Customer Service Lead, Betsy Grounds.
